DPA prepared signalization plans for the US-1 / Biscayne Boulevard corridor in downtown Miami for the FDOT.  The project included the design of new mast arm signal installations at NE 5 Street and NE 6 Street serving the Port of Miami, Bayside Marketplace, and the American Airlines Arena.  The new signals at NE 10 Street and NE 11 Street serve as the main entrance to Museum Park Miami, Miami Museum of Science, and Miami Art Museum.  The signal design package also included new mast arms at NE 8 Street, NE 9 Street, and NE 11 Terrace.  The designs were coordinated with the FDOT, Miami-Dade County, and the city of Miami.  Pedestrian countdown signals, pedestrian detectors and signs were installed to enhance pedestrian safety at all intersections along this segment of Biscayne Boulevard.
