Home Depot was opening a new store at The Forum, located east of I-75 on Colonial Boulevard (SR 884) in Lee County, and required a new signal at the intersection of Colonial Boulevard and Forum Boulevard.

DPA designed and performed the construction administration for the span wire signal and left turn lane widening on Colonial Boulevard at this intersection. The span across Colonial Boulevard extended over 200-feet, which required the strain pole design to include tether cables on the bottom of the signal displays. The design also included new crosswalks on three of the approaches to this intersection; ADA compliant sidewalk ramps; video detection; illuminated street name signs; and over 1,300-feet of interconnect cable for signal timing control.
