DPA was the site civil engineers for the Central Energy Plant Renovations and Site Upgrades for Doctors Hospital and the Medical Arts Building. This hospital was originally built in 1949 and over the years went through multiple expansions with several different owners.  The 6.3 acre site, located in a residential neighborhood of Coral Gables next to the University of Miami, is a constrained facility which required DPA to identify all of the utility and infrastructure services throughout the campus.

DPA was responsible for the preparation of the site civil design and construction administration for this project. DPA prepared the design of the new turbine water meter connection; site drainage improvements, including trench slabs through the loading area and boiler room blow off tanks; a master utility plan for existing conditions; a new underground fuel tank; and natural gas line layouts.
