Gulf Coast Town Center

Gulf Coast Town Center is an approved mixed use retail development in south Lee County. Approved in 2000, Gulf Coast Town Center is largely built out and will include over 1.8 million square feet of retail space, 600 dwelling units, and 250 hotel rooms.  The development is strategically located adjacent to I-75, south of the Southwest Florida International Airport, and just north of the Florida Gulf Coast University.

DPA’s activities included strategic transportation planning prior to the preparation of the DRI. Those efforts included external traffic evaluations, access, internal circulation, and phasing. DRI efforts included the preparation of Question 21. Transportation; preparation and negotiation of the project’s proportionate share of needed roadway improvements; and negotiation of equitable traffic mitigation conditions.
