The renovated Lido Spa and Hotel, located on Miami Beach and now known as The Standard, was voted 2009 “best spa” in the Americas & Caribbean by Travellers Magazine. The Hotel includes 105 rooms, with most having views of Biscayne Bay.  The grounds include a mud bath, plunge pool, and outdoor tubs.  DPA designed the new on-site drainage system, including the new pool and area deck, as well as the new pool water supply and gravity sanitary connections for the outdoor ground floor tubs and pool equipment areas. Working on this historic hotel renovation project required DPA to do extensive utility research, both on-site and through historical plans, to insure all utility services were operational and able to accommodate the new facilities.
