The Merrick View Office Building, located in Coral Gables, is an eight-story building with 90,400 square feet of office space and a parking garage.  DPA served as the on-site and off-site civil engineers for this project.  Improvements included:  12-inch water main extensions on SW 39 Avenue; new on-site drainage system for the completely  impervious site; water and sewer connections; design of the adjacent streets of San Lorenzo Avenue and Orange Street; sidewalks; paving and grading plans; and signing and pavement markings for the public right-of-way improvements. Due to the limited area for construction staging, DPA designed the site-specific staging plan and maintenance of traffic plans which allowed for safe vehicular and pedestrian movement adjacent to the site, while still protecting the construction site workers.
