NW 97 Avenue Roadway Design

October 20, 2011 · Final Design

This project, in the city of Doral, consisted of the widening of NW 97 Avenue from two lanes to a four-lane divided, urban arterial roadway. The project extended from NW 25 Street to NW 41 Street.  DPA prepared roadway, drainage, signing and pavement marking, signalization, and lighting plans for this improvement. The drainage system consisted of a continuous french drain system, interconnected with the existing drainage system.  The culvert over the NW 25 Street canal was extended as part of these improvements.  The existing span wire traffic signal at NW 33 Street was upgraded to a mast arm installation, while the traffic signal at NW 25 Street was modified to accommodate the new intersection geometrics.  DPA also provided construction phase services for this $3 million project.
