DPA provided planning and engineering services for the Palm Pointe Shoppes, located on US 41 in Fort Myers, during the renovation and rehabilitation of the existing shopping center.  Traffic services provided by DPA for this multi-phased redevelopment project included revisions to its internal vehicular circulation, the formulation of an access management plan, relocation of a traffic signal, and signal design.

An access management plan for the redevelopment project was formulated and negotiated with the FDOT.  The access plan was designed to improve access to the project while improving traffic operations along the US 41 corridor.  Access improvements included driveway consolidations, median modifications, and the relocation of a traffic signal to the project’s main entrance.
