Right-of-Way Master Plan, Marco Island, FL

DPA, working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of consultants, assisted in the preparation of the Right-Of-Way Master Plan for the city of Marco Island. The purpose of the report was to prepare a master right-of-way plan for 24-miles of roadway within the city. The Master Plan included recommendations to improve traffic circulation, improve / enhance traffic safety, drainage, and aesthetic / beautification design. The recommendations included the following.

  • Left turn lanes, medians, traffic control measures and devices.
  • Bicycle lanes and pedestrian paths to accommodate non-motorized modes of transportation.
  • Installation of trees and landscaping to enhance the natural beauty of the street.
