The Miami-Dade County Public Works Department retained DPA to conduct a feasibility study to analyze the benefits of widening SW 120 Street from SW 137 Avenue to SW 157 Avenue to a six-lane divided facility. The study identified the planning history of the roadway improvements, summarized the positive and negative features of each, estimated the traffic volumes and levels of service, and identified the general impacts on the surrounding roadways.  The traffic volume forecasts were derived using the Miami-Dade County travel model.  The needs assessment was based on a review of forecasted traffic volumes on a daily basis and general level of service estimates.
